Zynga Gains 12 Million Users In Two Weeks

-Zynga Logo- Two weeks ago I wrote about Zynga surpassing 60 million monthly active users on Facebook. As of today the company now has over 72 million monthly active users and has the top application on the platform based on daily active users. FarmVille, an application which duplicates many of the features of the second most popular application, Farm Town, has now surpassed 5.3 million daily active users. Growth doesn’t appear to be slowing which isn’t surprising since the company has invested over $1 million in promotion alone.

With almost 50 percent growth in under a month, one has to wonder if Zynga’s revenues have jumped proportionally. If so, that would mean the company is bringing in around $150 million a year, an impressive feat considering Facebook is projected to bring in around $550 million this year. Texas Hold’em Poker is supposedly the company’s bread and butter but with the dominance of FarmVille, perhaps an army of farmers will prove more valuable than an army of poker players.

Social gaming has rapidly become the big winner on social platforms and while there are other community focused applications, games are out shining other applications by a large margin. For those that argued Facebook would be used for enterprise, it’s pretty clear that isn’t happening. Facebook has become a massive entertainment platform, and while users are sharing information outside of their gaming activities, Facebook has become the leading platform in the social gaming wars.

With continued growth, one has to wonder if social gaming is going to outshine the more flashy games which attract the more hardcore gamers.

its a really good game for those who don't even think to plant, this game develop different thoughts in mind for planting things in our areas. It's really good that zynga gains 12 million active users in two weeks. Amazing

Those are some very high numbers to think of, I never realized that Farmville and Farm Town were such big revenue generators. I have played Zynga's Texas Holdem Poker for a while and enjoyed playing that in some spare time occasionally but that was as far as it went. I play Farm Town all the time, and check out different ideas from http://www.farm-town.com but I can't stand Farmville – what a cheap knockoff of the original. They blatantly copied the entire game! I think that Slashkey probably has some intellectual property rights they can exercise for duplicating so much of the exact same game.

They are not unique users only users added up across their games. So 1 user can play 5 of their games and be counted as 5 users. That is in addition to the fact that facebook already counts facebook users under their own numbers.

These games are not just on Facebook but other services like Tagged which has over 80 million users. Its also on MySpace, Bebo, Hi5 and others.

Farmville now has over 30 million MAU, apparently though Farm Town copied an asian social networking farm game… the circle goes round and round, everything is stolen.

Take care! Zynga is a swindler. I spent 3 months' time and won up to 600 million chips. Zynga just made up whatever reason to ban my account and confiscated all my chips. The total value taken from me is US$18,000. dollars. Friends! wake up! Do not be deceived!

zynga sent me a message that I was detected distributing chips and then it tells me that to avoid zynga form confiscating my chips, i must type a verification code, after doing so, when I logged in to my zynga poker account, my 64 Million was gone!!! what the hell happened???

I am not surprised that the poker is so popular in this day and age. I am, however, surprised that with those incredible numbers to boast Zynga doesn't better reinvest more to the performance quality of the site making them that money. It is such a disappointing experience recently that I'm sure many of these new customers will soon go elsewhere. The performance issues are a concern for all who play and not much has been posted by Zynga to reassure their customers that these issues will soon be past issues. Bad customer relations are bad business and it's just a matter of time before they are lost. Zynga has not proven that those who make them money mean very much to them. It's really too bad for all involved as well, Zinga Texas Holdem could be the best ever if they took into account what their market wants from them. The experience was a great one just a few months ago.

I, as the founder of this group but I have people in 20 countries that will start to make groups to act against the numbers of Zynga will grow every day more baned profil and more day when they remove someone profile and friends who will proceted this fight, that such organizations should not be on facebook because and slow down its expansion because I Zynga Kopmoneta similar organizations that spread their power lies and deceptions people we will state and prove some Zynga fraud and even some footage.
