Flickr is a great way to keep photos, including high resolution photos. I email my photos from my phone directly to Flickr so they're kept as high resolution and then use http://apps.facebook.com/fotosync to pull the public photos and upload them directly into Facebook. The app also includes a link back to the original photo when it uploads them so friends can download high-resolution photos if they want.
The app works with Flickr, Picasa and PhotoBucket currently.
Disclosure: I wrote the app.

The flickr importr application – http://apps.facebook.com/flickrimportr/ – is better than flickr2facebook now – flickr2facebook doesn't work with the new flickr design, they must have changed the DOM-struture of the page so the JS stuff won't work corrently. Also the flickr importr application let's you quickly select whole flickr sets and resizes the images to the maximum size allowed in fb instead of using the smaller already available flickr mid-size. I used flickr2facebook for two years, I haven't used it since I discovered the flickr importr. One thing – if you want to use albums with a specific privacy, I'd recommend creating them empty before using the app to import pictures into them instead of letting the app create them, as it doesn't support custom privacy settings for album creation for some reason (which is not a big deal, since you'll have to approve the pictures anyway and can change the privacy then, but for safety reasons, I prefer to create the albums before importing).

I did not review all 10 Tools, because that would take 10 page refreshes, and honestly, this topic warrants maybe 2. Please consider giving your readers a "View All" option, to see all 10 items, that way, you at least get 2 "page impressions" instead of only 1. As each impression is money in your pocket from the ads, it's a good way to potentially double your earnings from "headline scanners" such as I.
All in the interest of helping people build better news sites.

just to add, the newer version's of iPhoto on Mac come with Facebook integration built in.. (the iPhoto uploader plugin isn't needed) not sure what version that kicked in (i'm running '09) i've used most of the methods you've listed in your top 10, the iPhoto option is the simplest of the lot..

The first comment above, by Erik Giberti about "..and then use http://apps.facebook.com/fotosync to pull the public" doesn't mention that his application places a watermark on each of my photos that gets uploaded, unless I buy his premium service. No thank you. I've deleted it.

My Uploader application:
http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=2...
Is Flash-based, so there's nothing to install, really fast, has built-in face recognition, and a fantastic friend tagging interface. Check it out.
The Facebook API currently does not enable external applications to upload photos to Pages, unfortunately.

Finally, if a man finds himself sluggish and averse from austerity and self discipline, he should consort with one who is a proficient in such practies so as to catch the contagion of his enthusiasm.

I am an administrator for a nonprofit on Facebook and recently merged the fan page with a facebook place. Now I can't upload photos to the page – they go straight to my personal profile. Any suggestions?
