Glenn Peterson, a technically saavy librarian, has created a Facebook application that enables users to search the Hennepin County Library from your profile. If you thought librarians aren’t technically savvy you would be completely wrong. This is a great example of old industries staying on top of new technologies. While I haven’t been in a library in years, there are plenty of people that can take advantage of a tool like this. While this is obviously an extremely niche application it is more of a statement than anything else. If you happen to live in or near Hennepin County, Minnesota go check out the Hennepin County Library Catalog application.
