To see the ongoing conversation about aggressive online advertising is both reassuring as well as disconcerting. The reason that it’s disconcerting is that Mike Arrington has just begun to breach a much greater issue by randomly attacking one (or a couple) companies in this space. If this attack was done just for page views then writing about the issues are almost as bad as the people performing the act.

Offerpal Launches Multivariate Testing Platform For Developers

Yesterday Offerpal announced the launch of a new multivariate testing platform which helps developers optimize their virtual currency to maximize revenue and keep each application’s virtual economy more stable. Managing an overall economy isn’t easy however Offerpal hopes that this new system helps developers a bit more. They also hope developers implement the system as it helps not only the developers generate more revenue but Offerpal as well.

Offerpal Claims $100 – $500 eCPMs on Facebook

Last week while speaking at OnMedia in New York City, Anu Shukla, CEO of Offerpal Media said that the company is providing many application developers with $100 to $500 eCPMs. For those that are unaware of CPMs, it’s the measurement used to determine how much a publisher gets paid for every thousand page views. It’s the defacto standard for measuring advertising on the web.
