NBA.com Partners With Facebook for All Star Coverage

Just like we saw with CNN.com for the inauguration coverage and with Israeli news station Nana10 for the Israeli election, Facebook will be partnering with NBA.com for live feed updates on the NBA All-Star game. This is the third implementation that we’ve seen of this live-streaming Connect Feed widget that Facebook has developed. Facebook appears to be utilizing this service on a case-by-case basis.

This is also the first time that we’ve seen live embedded Facebook feeds not related to a political event. It’s clear that Facebook is heavily pushing this new live streaming widget. What would be even better is if Facebook had this live streaming feed non-stop via one of the online video streaming services, such as Hulu.com, who was reportedly a launch partner with Facebook Connect despite not launching the service yet.
