This evening Qik is officially announcing support for Facebook Connect which means videos that you streamed live via Qik can now be uploaded directly to Facebook. Recently I had posted a comment on the AllFacebook.com public profile suggesting that whoever develops a live streaming video solution for the news feed will get a ton of users. This is the closest thing to my live streaming concept.

Users simply login using Facebook Connect via Qik and upload their videos directly. Those videos are then archived using Facebook’s existing video platform. It’s a pretty basic integration but it doesn’t really matter how complex it is, it just needs to work. The next step is to have live streaming show up directly in our feed. My guess is that it’s not far around the corner.

Just the other day I had a flash widget show up in my feed so I know for a fact that it’s possible to publish other flash content (including streaming content) directly to the feed. While it’s not a huge integration, the simplicity of the Qik video product makes this a must have for any Qik users. Qik is one of the largest live streaming mobile video platforms currently.

When you log in to your Qik account via the website, you click on “Facebook” as one of the options for publishing the stream. It’s as easy as that! Head on over to Qik to start publishing your previously streamed mobile videos directly to Facebook.
