Puppy Throwing Girl Arrested After Thousands Protest Her On Facebook

Talk about a week of animal abuse. Following one woman who was placed under police protection after thousands of Facebook users protested her for throwing a cat in a trash bin, comes a girl who has been arrested for throwing puppies in a river. The Bosnian girl was arrested following another Facebook protest group.

According to AllVoices, the girl will only be fined, as “Under Bosnian law a person who kills or tortures animals is punishable only with fines ranging from 15 to 5,000 euros”. Not much of a punishment considering that these puppies probably didn’t make it. Given that the girl has received so much coverage, there is a concern that a string of copy-cat attacks will take place.

We’re hoping, for the sake of puppies and kittens everywhere, that such a wave of attacks does not materialize. The videos are still posted all over the web (primarily on LiveLeak, which has attracted millions of views). We haven’t taken the time to watch the video, however we’re hoping some of the puppies were rescued and that this girl is punished with more than a small fine.

To be fair it was 4chan, not Facebook users who started the call to find her, organized it and ultimately led to her identification. As usual Facebook is just to disorganized (signal:noise ratio is too poor) to facilitate such actions.

This article is a bit disingenuous to suggest Facebook users were involved in some way.

4chan was the one who started passing around the wrong names which everyone online took it and ran with it. Annabell was the first name they threw out there. Even Rescue Ink was falling into the trap of the wrong name being posted.

Then someone on youtube posted Katja's name and contact info which is not the name of the puppy killer.

Facebook was the one who kept stating "do not post any names until you know for sure who did it."

In the end, the last name of the girl was Pavlovic which no one online came up with.

are you serious? when is the last time the humane society took a bunch of just born puppies and kittens and tossed them carelessly into a river? not all animals have the instinct to swim like that days or even a couple weeks after birth. its not about being "pansies" its about some sick sadistic person (which you seem to be as well) destroying a poor life out of "fun"? murder is never a recreational activity.

Forgot to comment on the poster who claims landing in water after being thrown from a bridge is "soft". Why don't you try jumping off a bridge into a lake at 50-100 feet and see how soft it really is. Some people a few years ago thought the same thing when they bungee jumped illegally off a bridge. About 3-4 of them on a single line which snapped because they were idiots, and they fell into the river. One of them was paralyzed, and I believe another one died. The impact of hitting the water from that height is like being slammed onto concrete. There's nothing soft about it. Just watch a training video for the military and see how low the chopper hovers over the water before they jump in. If you don't hit just right, bones are broken.

While 4chan gets tonne sof negative coverage, often rightfully, it has done some decent things, such as protest against scientology, tracked down large numbers of animal abusers, and hacked Sarah Palin's email account.

okay first off, why the big deal? lady if you have to ask that you shouldn't be near other species. The big deal is that one they were new born puppies, which can not swim. and being thrown into a river with a current isn't a soft landing. The survivors were lucky their necks weren't broken.

As for the humaine society, they at least don't throw unwanted pets alive in the freezing cold rivers and chuckle about it. they have the decency to put the animals to sleep first.

this is normal in these balkan countries. these people live on farms and have plenty of livestock and pets to tend to. there was an instance where i have seen someone do this and i must say, it was a good idea. the puppies' mother died, no one was able to take care of the pups, and they were unwanted.

there are far too many stray dogs running around these balkan countries. they dont have proper animal control– no spaying or neutering.

i am a dog lover. i will do anything for a dog, but if the dogs cannot be taken care of (keep in mind that they dont have pounds in the balkans), i think giving them away or throwing them in the river is the best option. you want stray dogs suffering, spreading diseases, killing people out there?

Her choice was a gigantic and well-endowed Rottweiler. She smeared her nether parts with the urine of a bitch in heat and then got on her knees. The Rottweiler which would have nothing to do with her normally was seduced by the strong scent of the urine and mounted her. Some says that 5 puppies out of 6 survived. A old lady found them and rescued them. But one drowned.

This was an absolutely horrid video. Just as horrid was the fact that it had over 14,000 LIKES when I saw it a week or so ago. I clicked it on only because I thought it was something innocent – like throwing stuffed animals or something. It was horrifying.

The puppies appeared to be only days old. I'm not sure if their eyes were even open. There is NO CHANCE that any of them made it or were rescued. A fine is clearly not enough of a penalty for such abhorrent behavior.

As Ghandi said: "The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated."

I am disgusted that a site would allow such a thing. However, I noticed the title was "Horrid Video of the Day" or something like that. What do they expect? What is this world coming to?

i dont have an account on here or anything but ive been reading these posts. honestly, yes i think this video is vulgar and disgusting. ive also read the posts bout the stray dog problems over there and people saying maybe thats why the girl did it. in her mind was she doing something for the better? yes. but, there couldve been a more humane way to do that instead of giving them a slow cold death. i mean in a way, it can be compared to abortion. from my point of view anyway. like, people think it is so cruel to get an abortion wen in fact, there can be worse things. As I read more comments from Robyn I just continue to get more angry. Any young girl who can do this to a puppy is more than capable of doing it to a human being. Any individual who has been to college and studied psychology knows that this is sadistic sociopathic behavior. When a teenage girl can toss these puppies into a river with intent to drown them and than go on about her day as if she should not suffer any consequences is sick. There's a slight problem with your claim. She threw the puppies from a location that was maybe 2 feet above the river, and she threw them about 20 feet out. That said, I've jumped from 60 feet multiple times, and I've never broken a bone in my life. Landing from a throw like that in water is definitely soft.

I slightly agree with Robyn B. I do see his point point of view, but I mainly agree with everyone else.
A lot of people cause an outrage when shit like this happens. Personally, it affects me too.
But I don't think it's really about how some crazy bitch threw puppies in a river. People are appalled by this story because it is a perfect example of what our world is coming to. The fact that someone did this and filmed it as if it were something funny is terrifying. This is almost the same situation as when those two kids from the Ukraine beat a random man to death with a hammer, except this video isn't a shock video now. At least not yet.
But yes, I do feel bad for the kids who are killed everyday and for the victims of war. Just like I feel bad for the people affected by the economy and the many children who are also abused and molested every day. So do many other people, but they're not going to express their pity at every moment. If someone hears about this, they're going to care in the moment. They care in general, but their mind is not going to linger on it all that time. It's stupid to accuse people of not caring. A lot of people do care about their fellow man and all that, but no one is going to express that here when there's a different topic being discussed. It's stupid to go on a page such as this and complain that people aren't compassionate about everything else in the world. How do you know?
Animal cruelty is wrong. Just like Child Molestation and Murder is. All that jazz.
The media jumps on everything that starts to grow. This is not the case with this, though. The video was posted on the internet, and viewers were outraged. And of course the ever powerful 4chan made this whole situation more known. 4chan is everywhere. Even I am a 4chan member. The media saw how fast this situation was growing and started to cover it.
I think you're just the kind of person that sees everyone's opinion and it completely influences your own, and you have to oppose. I give credit for actually looking from another point of view, which most people won't even begin to do once they have their opinion. Kudos for going against the majority, even though you knew you were going to get attacked. You did have the balls to throw your opinion in the mix. Though I can't say I completely agree with it. No sarcasm was intended in any of those previous sentences.
People are not always going to express concern for the world's problems at every moment.

A lot of people do take into consideration that women do have abortions. This isn't about abortions at the moment, so of course people aren't going to express that concern.
Personally, I think abortions are AWESOME. I mean, why bring a child into this earth if the mother is not mentally, physically, financially or emotionally able to take care of the kid? Why make the kid suffer abuse? Why bring a child into the world just for them to die again? And if they do live through all the cruelty, who is to say that they won't just be another bum on the streets or another criminal?
Orphanages are crowded as fuck, and not enough people are adopting kids. Don't just say "The women can have the kid and give it up to an orphanage!" because that's stupid. Many kids stay in there without families until they are of legal age to leave, and many others are abused in bad foster homes.
I think I'd rather have an abortion than make a person suffer a fate that they did nothing to deserve. It's cruel to kill a child in the womb, but it's a lot better than killing them once they're born.
