Remeber the classic board game, “Risk?” I used to be a huge fan. Eric Schiermeyer and Mark Pincus have developed a seriously addictive multiplayer version of the game called “Attack!” Similar to online poker, there is a game staging area where you can pick what game you would like to join as well as view which of your friends are currently playing in a game.
The first time I played this game I lost pretty bad. Apparently there are some other people on Facebook that are experts at this game. While I thought I may be one of them, I definitely am not. Apparently the key to this game is to join a game and then invite 20 of your friends. As soon as you send the invites you will receive 20 armies and can rampage through the other territories.
The only thing lacking from this game is the ability to private message people. Once they add that, this game is going to remain as one of the more entertaining games on Facebook. I already lost once and now I want to go play again! If you are a big fan of Risk, go check out the Attack application.

This is probably my new favorite app. I was also a big fan of the classic board game, but I always hated how long it took sometimes because the game would drag on toward the end when so many armies were attacking each other and you had to figure out each dice roll. The dice rolls are calculated automatically in this app so the game moves along a lot quicker. I love it. I can play several games in just one sitting.

A good attempt on providing Risk for the masses, but unfortunately it is by no means as capable as most of the popular online Risk games available. They also have strange rules, such as lack of fortification, missing border links in the classic Risk map and no options to control the time limits imposed on players while playing the game. Good luck to those who like it, but it is really only useful for those who have never played Risk online before and have just found out that they can play their childhood games! So go for it, Risk is truly a great game.

The game sucks, they give bonus armies to people who spam for them. Other than that, it could have been a fun game.

I too play the online RISK game on Facebook. There are people there who just play and play and play, and they have a huge amount of armies. Where do these people come from, and how do they find the time? I mean, there are literally hundreds of them. Are they fake?

The problem with the Attack game in Facebook is the FREEZE GLITCH.This enables players who are bad losers to freeze the game for everyone playing on that board. The game then has no winner, or pretty much the last man not quitting wins, as far as I know. But play stops immediately. I don't know how they do it, all I know is that it has something to do with placing an army in Quuensland in Australia.

Not bad but I've moved over to WarGear: http://www.wargear.net
Beats the facebook version hands down, it has the basic Risk board (called 'Global Warfare' over there) but also 50+ different boards you can play on.
Highly recommended.
