This morning I started getting emails that users sharing links on Facebook were no longer seeing images and descriptions for the pages they were linking to. By the afternoon I started having a similar problem. Now I can’t seem to post articles on my page or profile with an article title, description, and image also included. Instead, it shows up as it does in the image to right.
For those of you who were wondering if this is a new feature on Facebook, it’s not. Instead it’s a bug in the system and while it’s not a critical flaw, it definitely effects the impact that a shared link has on its viewers. Yes, I’m still able to communicate with my friends and view my news feed, but sharing links is probably one of my most frequent activities on Facebook. Are you having the same issue or are links working for you?
Do you spend much time sharing links on Facebook or am I the only one?

Yes I share links all the time and this is infuriating – so bummed that they can't keep the basic features running – its bad enough FB tries to "improve" all the time. Sigh…

Yep, same here. Few users know, however, that you can edit the "headline" and "description" fields yourself by clicking them. Still no way to insert a pic that I have found, but this will let you manually insert something descriptive.
I am a rabid link-sharer… you're not alone, Nick.

)

I've seen this happen before for short periods and it's always annoying. Link sharing is also one of my primary FB activities.

It's not a new glitch. For me, it happens more often with Gawker's links.

Take a facebook break and come join the rest of us on the other 98% of the whole internet. There's a world going on you people seem to be missing.

Seems to work fine for me. Probably just a temporary error.
