The most powerful point you made in this is the idea of being supportive of your biggest fans. Supporting individuals, rather than publishing to the masses is the most effective way to gain more followers and fans that turn into lucrative relationships. Great post.

"Be supportive of your biggest fans", eh?

I've tried to be a fan for you, but I didn't really appreciate the utter lack of response to several attempts to communicate with you, via AllFacebook's fan page, your profile, and Facebook email.

I like your work. I really do. But you're not really doing a very good job of "being supportive of your biggest fans".

love this.. great post..
it is interesting a "brand" has to evolve organically... in a way you find out what your "brand" is by being authentic & communicating & being in a way that is naturally fulfilling for you. this way you attract people that are in resonance.

i do like & agree with you when you stress consistent communication & really caring about the other people...the "fans" so to speak....
we all are a fan of each other :-)

I love the "like" links personally, I think it allows quick and easy positive feedback. Although I wish I wouldn't get updates every time someone commented on something I liked. If I wanted to join the conversation I would have said something to begin with...

Also, I wish you would talk more about personification of the brand, I think that's really interesting and very difficult.

Thanks for the info!

I like leaving comments on others' updates. And I wish they would take the "Like" links off. I think people should do more than click "Like" if they want to respond or interact with one another.

I think there's a long way to go as far as people getting the hang of interaction on Facebook, but it's coming.
