Get Paid to Guess the Future of A Stock Without Using Your Own Money

-Future Game Screenshot-FutureGame is a Facebook applications that lets you guess the price or direction of stock in the next 30 seconds. When I first heard the premise of this game I was a bit skeptical–how could guessing what the stock will do 30 seconds from now be fun?

Once I checked out the FutureGame app and it turned out to be highly addictive. There are a few different ways you can play FutureGame: guess the Euro vs. the US dollar, the Magic Index price direction, the US dollar vs. the Yen or the price of gold. Honestly though, no matter which way you play it, you still have the same odds of getting your guess right: fifty percent.

While FutureGames is less social than other stock games out there, you can still earn cash by playing. If you have a streak of 2 or more guesses with a FutureGame run, then your cash prize starts to add up. Initially the cash earnings are pretty miniscule, as in less than a nickle for a 2-guess streak. But getting a 20-guess streak can earn you $100, and with 30 straight guesses in a row, you’ll be able to cash out a $10,000 check.

Of course there are a number of stipulations including the definition of a streak (once you close your window, it’s game over). And you can’t cash out any prize money until you’ve reached $20 in earnings. But FutureGame is fun nonetheless. And even though FutureGame is not an actual stock-trading service (or simulation, for that matter), you can share your stats and high scores with friends on Facebook and earn a few bragging rights.

So whether you want to play FutureGame or flip a coin, it’s up to you. Personally, I think flipping a coin is not as entertaining as watching a moving stock chart, but I’ll leave that for you to decide. Go install the FutureGame application and tell us what your thoughts are!

  2. It's a 1 in a million chance of guessing correctly 20 times in a row, or a 1 in a billion chance of guessing correctly 30 times in a row.
