Free Facebook Credits Now Showing Up In Games

Facebook appears to be continuing to ramp up their promotion of Facebook Credits through the use of promotional giveaways, the latest of which is free Facebook Credits within specific games. While Facebook has tried such promotions in the past, it appears as though a new wave of Facebook Credits promotions began showing up this weekend according to users. Those credits can then be spent on virtual goods within the increasing number of applications which accept credits.

Facebook has recently announced a number of new initiatives aimed at increasing the distribution of Facebook Credits, most significantly through a partnership with MOL which will let the company sell Credits in 7-11s and in cybercafes. Facebook also recently began pushing credits through the popular MyTown application.

Facebook’s strategy at this point appears to be pretty straight-forward: 1. increase distribution through partnerships with app developers and other channels, and 2. get more Facebook users to make transactions with Facebook Credits. The cost of the “free Facebook credits” promotions that have reportedly seen an increased volume over the past few days, are being covered by Facebook, which could definitely be substantial.

These forms of promotions mean an increased volume of transactions within applications, in turn making developers happy that they chose to implement Facebook Credits. Below is a screenshot of a free credits promotion as seen through the game Treasure Madness, although we’ve heard reports of placement in other games including FarmVille.

  1. I have two Facebook accounts and I have got credits issued to both. In my main accout, I got 25 credits while playing BOUNCING BALLS via the Games app. In my other account I got 10 credits for reasons unknown to me… lol

  4. about 2 weeks ago, i was playing the app prolific (which doesn't use credits or indeed asks for money any other way) and was given 20 free credits to use in games in facebook.

  6. WHy can we not figure out how to use our credits in cafe world? I cant figure out how to turn them into cafe cash and thats what i bought them for since the cafe cash site navigation is blocked from being able to purchase from zynga. How do i use them? If I cant I would like a refund asap

  12. I got 25 through Marketplace. I didn't even use it, just browsed the other day and noticed a (1) beside the bookmark. Opened it to the page and on top said I had 25 credits. Used it in the soon to be defunct gift shop

  21. There's no such thing as 120 free FBC with restaurant city. What I believe is that Facebook gives out free FBC only ONCE per user. You may be able to get small amounts of 5 FBC through games like Hello City and Bejeweled Blitz (tried and tested), but that's about it.

  39. You can use your FBC's on different games in Facebook. I know right now millionare city is. Mafia wars might, casino city might, just try looking aroung.

    For the~blind~ones who dont know how to get the free 5 FBC in Hello city. click the center bulding. it will give you 5 free creds. Dont buyanything even though they say it is a _1_ time thing only. It's a waste. Hope this answers some of your questions

  70. hello i saw all your comments. bejeweled blitz DOES give out 5 free fb credits, but you can only get it, if your friend posts it via bejeweled blitz on their wall and you click on it. I tried it and it worked. You cant get it by just playing the game.

  113. or maybe before you all start calling him a lier you should maybe use those helpful little round things in your head called eyes and look how long ago that was posted and then compare it to how long ago yours was posted. he may well of been telling the thruth when he posted it but if your've got there 8-9 weeks after which most you have theres a big chance that the offer has expired

  115. maybe you can try out playing pet society and other playfish games. Pet Society has this amazing feature of petlings and the most cute ones are need to be bought by playfish cash. it can be bought using facebook credits so that's my point of view?

  980. I found a trick on Facebook, open Slot Spot game and copy and paste it into another tab and so on and select Free FB credits at the bottom of the screen on each tab and watch all the videos at the same time, it will sometimes give you 2 or 4 free credits in total and only works once a day
