Today Facebook will be hosting the fbFund REV demo day to showcase the 25 companies that participated in the first incubator program run in partnership with Facebook and Founder’s Fund. Dave McClure was the primary organizer of this year’s program but Facebook is clearly pumped up about this year’s companies and the new format. Last week I had a chance to speak with Cat Lee of the Platform Product Marketing team to discuss what will be taking place later today.

All of the developers that were part of this year’s program will be showing off their evolved products tomorrow and from the sounds of things, at least one company will be announcing a new round of funding. Tomorrow’s event will be a big showcase, attempting to rival that of YCombinator and TechStars, two companies that keep churning out new web startups (other incubators include DC based Launch Box Digital and Philadelphia based DreamIt Ventures).

At the event will be many valley investors, entrepreneurs, and developers, all checking out what new products are in the works. Based on what Cat Lee told me on the phone, it sounds as though a number of mobile products will also be launching as Facebook Connect is helping iPhone developers easily integrate social features into their applications.
