Facebook Design Easter Egg In The Upcoming Facebook Homepage Changes?

-FBFBFB Icon-Facebook is known for leaving subtle easter eggs around the site. Whether it’s the contra easter egg, Facebook photo easter eggs, or any other small quirk, Facebook developers and designers like to make small changes to the site that only the most obsessive users would notice. This morning while checking out images of the upcoming homepage changes, I noticed the slight shading of left-side navigation. The color used? #fbfbfb

Honestly, I’m not sure that the designer of the page used this subtle shading because they wanted to give the homepage another “Facebook” touch, but it would definitely make sense. If you haven’t spent much time with photoshop or HTML you may not understand this color. It’s a hex color for a shade of off-white. This is a pretty obscure change which forced me to question whether it was even post worthy.

Thankfully I’m a geek at heart so I decided to go forward with the post. So to the powers that be at Facebook, I’d be extremely grateful for a Facebook t-shirt in the shade of #fbfbfb! Currently we have no idea whether or not this is actually a design easter egg but we’ll continue to believe so until told otherwise!
