Just over a month ago, ex-Facebook platform program manager announced that he was leaving the company to pursue new opportunities. That new opportunity appears to be over at Twitter as he tweeted about the new move earlier this morning. Given Josh’s extensive knowledge of Facebook’s strategy and product development process, this is most definitely a big hire for Twitter.
For many Facebook developers, Josh was one of the primary points of contact in order to resolve any issues. Yesterday Louis Gray first broke the news of the move:
Rumors about Elman’s joining Twitter had been bubbling in the tech backchannels in recent days, and while he has not yet made announcement of the move, thanks to Twitter’s new list feature, you could see his account added to the company’s official Twitter team late tonight. That Twitter “Team” list now sports 113 members, including part-time contractors.
Given that Josh has a strong history of working with developers, I’m sure that he’ll instantly become a star over at Twitter with thousands of developers now building applications on top of Twitter.

How could facebook let him go? Aren’t there any counter offers or something? That sucks. As of now, facebook rules over twitter, wonder what will happen nxt with josh changing sides.
