Claiming that safety is their top priority, Facebook has just revamped their Safety Center. The emphasis in their official announcement on the Facebook Blog is the offering of “resources for parents, educators, teens and members of the law enforcement community.”
The announcement also mentions “quadrupled” content and an improved interface for the Facebook Safety Center. In addition to offering their own content, Facebook is inviting others to discuss some of the problems that parents and child protection agencies have been concerned about and which have been plaguing the site. This includes cyberbullying and other topics.
This improved Safety Center follows the establishment of a Safety Advisory Board late last year. Several child protection and related agencies from around the world, including Childnet International are on this advisory board. However, Facebook has not yet given in to requests by Ceop, a UK child protection agency, to install”panic buttons on every page of the site, despite a four hour meeting in Washington. Facebook says they’ll invest nearly $8M in education and awareness.
Do you think this is a good start for Facebook, in terms of protecting children using the site?
is it me or is something very screwed up, that since this safety center release, when i try to go to facebook it directs me to myspace?

The number of young (under 13) kids on facebook is alarming. There needs to be an easier way to report them.

Someone downloaded my photo's printed them and are using them in a law suite. Why is he allowed to do that?
I feel like he is stalking me. I so not feed secure using this facebook.

i would like to report miss trudy turner who has made my account back to front also she tried deleting my fb account. i hope u can sort my account out and realy would appreciate it. she has also deleted friends from my account. thankyou for ur help.

It was brought to my attention thatAaron Barnhart has used his plots to print a very vulgar statement.I sent him a message last nifgt and asked him to remove it. I also asked several of his friends & aquaintances to send him a note to remove this. However as of 5 minutes ago it is still there.There are many children that Farm or go to their parents farms to play. Is there any way you can stop this.If it is not gone today I plan to drop him as a frieda and neighbor. Please help me. Thank you in advance.

i was friends w eric van orden who was recently baanned for posting a picture of a dj on his profile pic i know for a fact that he is back on facebook be4 his probation period and should be banned for life his name is Hung Wang Low and is violating yet another face book policy thank u Michael O`Connor

i sent an e-mail about someone sending a suppose to be nacked video of my ass, it had a virus attached and it was sent to a lot of people who harasse me about my ass, please responde to me, or Im going to the athorities and file charges, i would rather let facebook deal with it because thats were it started

There is an individual on FB (Ike Adu Dowuona) that is stealing Credit Card #'s and trying to make charges to Orphans Heros, through FB Causes. Beware, look at your bank statements and make sure he doesn't get your card.

I filed a new complaint last week with the FTC. Facebook has ignored my emails and of course there isnt any other way to contact them. As a paid advertiser on facebook haveny my account shut down and refusing to allow it to be re instated is ridiculous. And un justified as well, I want a full refund facebook and my account reinstated. Next step lawsuit.

I cannot open or send messages and when i open the message box it brings the page up but then fades and locks up my computer I have to teboot everytime Im really wondering If iv bn hacked in some way???Please help
