Facebook is expected to announce their new location product this afternoon at a press event in Palo Alto. We will be at the event live, however our primary coverage will come out after we digest everything. If you are looking for coverage of the event as it happens, Facebook has been gracious enough to stream the entire event via their recently launched Facebook Live application (found here). It will take place at 5 PM PST. We will be embedding the event on this site as well.
We will also be providing up to date analysis of the new product as well as everything that you’ll need to know about Facebook location service (rumored to be called “Places”). If you have any questions that you’d like to have answered about the product, please feel free to reach out to us in the comments below or email me via (nick [at] socialtimes [d0t] com) and we’ll be sure to get as many of them answered as possible.

Will we finally be able to geotag our photos?

You mean PDT, not PST. If you don't know when to use PST or PDT, just use PT or say "Pacific" or whatever. PST is UTC-8 and is used in the winter. PDT is UTC-7 and is used in the summer, while daylight saving time is in effect. Thanks.
