Attention DC area Facebook developers, Facebook will be hosting a Facebook Developer Garage on December 14 from 1 PM to 5 PM at the D.C. Bar Conference Center. The company wants to emphasize that marketing and business will not be discussed at the event, instead it will be strictly focused on development issues. More specifically, the event will focus on government social media applications.
While the company has not made any official statement, it’s clear that they are trying to avoid this from being a standard social media event, with an emphasis on DC developers. For those marketers and business individuals who want the opportunity to network with Facebook employees and developers of Facebook applications, there will be a post developer garage social event.
For all the Washington D.C. area Facebook developers however, you are welcome to come to the DC Facebook Developer Garage. Make sure to RSVP for the event and join the Developer Garage Washington DC group. For all those who would like to come to the social event, Facebook will be updating the event shortly with the location of the social event.
