Facebook appears to be testing a new version of the homepage which includes friends’ photo albums.
For the past few months Facebook has been testing many different types of Facebook-owed application promotions in order to increase engagement on the site. Apparently the latest test is an attempt to get more users viewing albums, since photos are one of the primary activities that users engage in on the site. In addition to promoting photos we’ve seen Facebook promote events as well.
Ultimately this could simply be a test, however the content which is displayed on the homepage on any given day is a good indicator of what applications Facebook is encouraging users to engage with more. Currently on my homepage I have a promotion for Facebook Questions, which leads me to believe that the current photos widget is either based on user behavior or alternatively is simply a test. What is currently being displayed in your homepage sidebar?

I have notice that too, FB displays most of the photos whom you chat too or either while you are viewing his private message to you.

I don't mind most of the changes Facebook puts out there as long as there are choices for both presentation and opting out of something. If I know for a fact that the albums I'm viewing on my home page are ONLY those of people that are MY friends, I'm cool with it. We put enough of our lives out there in Cyber Space just by being online even without the help of Social Networking sites.

So how do you remove this??…I'm finding it quite annoying…also the new games app on the left side doesn't work well for me which when you accept gifts etc it still tells you you have them

I don't like it. How can I remove it? I don't like that they do this stuff and you do not have the option of using it or not. Don't like a lot of the privacy changes they are making. Don't like much about FB.

on my home page not profile page under my profile picture i have a list under a heading apps under this heading you have photos,questions,and two others If I click on photos it has pages upon pages of every photo my friends have put on my wall even if they change there profile picture I get a copy.Now because they are my friends photos there is no delete photo button and where I get there full albums no edit album.there is also a vidieo section full of friends vidieos.questions under the question section everything i cannot delete Yet I do not want it I deactivated my account started a new one the thing is still there. please help.I'm starting to hate facebook

i am not at all happy that i can't click on photos and see what my friends posted anymore how do i find them now?????
