With Facebook’s new Page layout being rolled out on August 23rd, and with the custom profile tabs being resized, Facebook has rolled out a new preview tool for administrators. The “tool” has made it so that custom tabs will now be displayed to page administrators as the resized version. That means your custom tab, if it hasn’t been resized already, will appear to be cut off. Right now the new layout is only visible to the administrator of the Pages but a useful reminder that the custom tab is in the process of being changed.
While many Facebook Page administrators don’t leverage custom tabs, a large percentage of administrators take advantage of the feature to convert new visitors into fans. Others use the feature for custom applications. As such we’re seeing most of the brands beginning to make the shift. As we previously wrote, the change will be pushed out on August 26th so you have at least a couple of weeks to make the necessary adjustments.
You can learn more about the change via the Facebook developer blog.

yes my facebook dev team is ready. we always look at the developer roadmap and prepare for whatever they're planning to do. we always test / develop ahead of their implementation.

hey guys, do you know if this will effect the side promo boxes? and if so, is there a way to get around it?

Right now the tabs are being displayed with the full profile image and left sidebar being displayed. I did not expect that. I think most people were concerned that the extra space was going to be taken over by AD space.
Does anyone know if this is how it will be when the change rolls out?

Talk about moving backwards instead of forwards. What kind you do with just 520 pixels, and I find it amusing that their own apps like Photos and Videos can still use 760 pixels while all 3rd party apps are now down to 520.
Why don't you just kill all facebook apps and make our life easier.

Yeah, they already changed my size too, I realized after signing out and viewing my page. It was actually, in a way, a good thing for me, because I needed to update it anyway.

They take a space from us , They may use it whereever they want. More space means more ads…

This is beyond dumb – great way to get more brands on your site. Hope they reconsider as they have on other initiatives

Anyone know why the changes implemented today totally screw up notes? I make updates to a note throughout the day to keep fans updated on a schedule and now I can't even cut or paste let alone format correctly.

I'm glad I landed on this site. I've been searching for an article about facebook layout, and I think I just found what I've been looking for.
Keep it up!
