I think the community is posting less because friends have learned that only relevant content gives a specific value to the social network rather than posting hourly dust around …

Yes, but why the decrease in status updates? Why are friends posting less? I would say that Facebook is "feeling" less and less personal, especially to my demographic (35+). I can't put my finger on why the changes feel less intimate, but they do. Comments or thoughts?

Great post and stats. I personally enjoy the new "Via" function Facebook has added. It's an easy and great way to share other friend's content as well notifying them about it.

As far as Facebook Connect is concerned, it will only continue to grow. Adds some easy and simple integration into blogs and other sites.
