What I got out of this announcement is that it's going to be more important for businesses to create search optimized content on their Facebook pages.

Bigger brands like Hulu and the NBA are already pretty sophisticated when it comes to Facebook marketing, using tools like Fan Appz to generate fresh, viral content for their pages (http://apps.facebook.com/fanappz). It's not going to be sufficient anymore to just plunk a few posts up on your Page and call it a day.

Also looks like Facebook is going to allow you to promote your posts in an ad (saw this reported today). Should be very interesting to watch how Facebook evolves as a business marketing platform.

Are you aware of how google will be pulling status updates for their real-time results? Is there a criteria set? While it might be nice to see updates from select twitter/myspace/facebook subscribers, a majority of users are casual, everyday members using the site for personal networking. How will seeing status updates from these individuals benefit the user?
