Facebook has launched a new page to promote the various sports offerings on the site, including the most popular bracket applications for March Madness. Facebook has a number of comparable pages for promoting Music, Celebs, Non-Profits, and many other major content verticals. Whether it’s interactive Pages or more robust applications, the Sports page will let users know about all sports activity on the site.
More specifically, Facebook says that “The Page will include periodic sports-related status updates; will highlight other great sports pages and also feature innovative use cases of Facebook in Sports, ex. NCAA March Madness on Demand.” As Facebook’s user base continues to expand, the company is looking to inform users about various ways to get engaged on the site no matter their interests.
