This afternoon Facebook announced that they have increased the number cities available for advertisers to target when creating new ads. While they haven’t specified the exact number of cities, the city targeting has expanded internationally. Not only is it interesting from the perspective of being able to view how the user base has spread globally, but it’s also great for advertisers looking to expand their reach.
There’s not much to say about the upgrade to be honest, but if you want to start creating ads targeted at cities around the globe, you can go do it immediately.

might be interesting for a small company to target its own community, which perhaps wasn't listed before.
or for a smaller national company to target small groups of people whose communities have yet to be targeted. advertisers first on the bandwagon have the first chance to come up with geo targeted ads to groups that have yet to be exposed to.
