Facebook has been having a few platform reliability issues over the past 48 hours, but the latest hits Facebook’s “Live Status” page which lets developers know the status of the platform. Navigating to the Live Status page currently returns an error which says “This webpage is not available.” While I’m sure Facebook is working to get the site back up quickly, it has been down for at least 10 minutes.
While there’s no information to suggest that the down time is related to the new homepage transition, it’s interesting that there are a number of issues plaguing Facebook right now. As many users have noticed, the homepage news feed occasionally shows up blank. The issues have been taking place ever since the new homepage transition started last Thursday, the day of Facebook’s sixth birthday.
We’ll be sure to update once we hear anything about the ongoing downtime issues.
Thanks to Jon Freger of Deep Focus for lettings us know.

The developer site has been down much longer than 48 hours. Well I should say, hasn't been working well for more than 48 hours. It is down intermittently and slow if it is working.

Stats for developers on app usage also appear to have not been updated since Friday.

Facebook has been awful since they switched it from it’s original format. You go back a page, and it doesn’t take you to where you were. It makes you start at the top, and scroll back down to the place you were at. And now – half of the screen is wasted on nothing and you have to scroll further than ever. Broken down? Didn’t even know. I stopped when all the dumb gaming applications and gifts took over the wall. I can’t even find the important news anymore. There should be a news feed AND a separate gaming feed.

Maybe they should put the news and photos and important stuff on one feed, and the apps and games and gifts and silly stuff on another. Just a thought!

This site has been having issues since they decided to “update” yet unannounced to everyone we are the ones who inevitably are affected by the direct results they implement – be those positive or negative. For me in this case it is purely “negative.”
I do not like the new profile layout at all. It is confusing, there was NO warning as to what was happening or going on – even “when” it was happening. All of a sudden I came back from a different page and it had changed. “Wham!” It is a navigational nightmare! There was no thought put into this at all; I am personally very disappointed in Facebook – as my PROFILE shows!

It’d be nice if this got fixed for once!

I'm about ready to PUNT the whole Facebook experience…can't be "social", folks, when you get blank homepage news feed pages 10-15 times day….zero technical support…and worse than beat quality software.
Guess I'll just avoid FB for a couple of more days and hope it's better when I try again…still find it hard to believe that such a heavily used site/product/service provides zero technical support to it's users…looks and feels to me like they release new software without testing it (I've been in the industry for 40+ years so I know what untested software looks and feels…and behaves…like)….FB looks to run by a bunch of 15 year old kids…

Facebook has been down for me for over 48 hours also.
Before that point it was so slow for at least a week.
Can't believe something this huge is taking soooo long to get back on…..

Looks like the Live Status page doesn't even exist at this point. That url just redirects to the Developer Blog.

For the past month or so, I have been repeatedly logged out of Facebook with a site maintenance message every single afternoon for hours and hours sometimes lasting overnight. Does anyone know what is going on?
