Scott Beale pointed out a pretty entertaining Facebook video. It’s definitely worth the two minutes spent watching it. Check it out below:

Facebook Used To Make Change

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

After posting the last video I ended up browsing around Current.com for a while and found a number of other interesting videos. I found another one which tells the story of Oscar, a Colombian who created a group on Facebook that turned into a massive protest against the Farc. It’s happening worldwide but this video helps express the significance of what’s taking place. Check it out below!

Facebook Carpooler Video

Thursday, March 27th, 2008

The community outreach manager from Current TV contacted me today with an awesome program about application development on Facebook. The video follows around the developer of the carpoolers application. It’s a really high quality video and I thought it had some great content. Check out the video below and let me know what you think:

So apparently I am completely clueless with these new privacy settings. I’m guessing a number of other people are screwing it up as well. as such, Teresa Valdez Klein over at Web Community Forum has posted a video tutorial explaining how to update the new settings. Take a look below, hopefully this helps you get things going.

Zuckerberg Speaks at Austin Dev Garage

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Earlier this week I had the opportunity to attend the Facebook developer garage in Austin. At the event Zuckerberg had a Q & A with a number of the developers that were present as well as a few other people. It went much smoother than the interview from the previous day and Zuckerberg actually joked about that at the onset. The video shows that Zuckerberg has become much more comfortable with public appearances. Take a look:

Mark Zuckerberg, Sarah Lacy Interview Video

Monday, March 10th, 2008

Since the keynote interview between Mark Zuckerberg and Sarah Lacy yesterday, everybody has been talking about what went wrong as well as what went right. I was approached by one blogger yesterday after my post went up claiming that it was a cultural misunderstanding and that my post was unfair. I still stand by much of what I said and by definition I think the interview was not a good one as a result of the mob mentality that ensued following the interview.

Regardless, I’m sure that this will be one of the more memorable stories of SXSW this year. After running around all of Austin looking for good internet service, I finally found some today in the journalist lounge at the event. I was able to upload a copy of the video that I recorded. There is about one minute missing from the end of the video but the majority of what went on happened prior to the last minute. Watch the video for yourself and let me know if you think this was a good or bad interview.

Viddler has not set the ratio on this video properly and I will be posting an updated version but at least you can watch and listen for now.

“Facebook Anthem” Says We’re Bored of Facebook

Friday, February 29th, 2008

This morning one of my readers sent me an email alerting me to a new Facebook video on YouTube. I wasn’t initially going to post anything but this video has attracted over 20,000 views and I have a feeling that it may just go viral. While it’s nowhere near as good as the bubble video, it is definitely interesting. I just wonder if this is an accurate portrayal of the majority or if it’s a select few. Are you tired of Facebook?

Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Facebook has definitely become a major part of society and now there are music videos about Facebook applications. One reader sent me the following video about the Scrabulous application and their issues with Mattel:
