AllFacebook Means Business

Friday, June 15th, 2007

It is time to start on a new journey. While I have many things that I am personally considering, I am currently focused on launching a Facebook development team. If you are a reader of this blog then you already know of the potential offered by the Facebook platform. Where is it headed? I don’t know. Will the market get flooded? Possibly. Is there money to be made? Definitely. Unfortunately I missed out on the New York City Facebook developers meetup on Wednesday, but the Facebook revolution has officially begun. If you are interested in working to provide high end Facebook applications to clients, please get in touch. I am in need of primarily developers and a single designer. Additionally, if you want to contribute to this blog, please feel free. If you know Facebook, are highly enthusiastic about Facebook, and have something to contribute to the team, please get in touch ASAP. Simply shoot an email to allfacebook [at] gmail [dot] com and I will respond as quickly as possible. By the way, if you are looking to work on the team you must be located in Washington, D.C. or New York City. Bloggers on the other hand can live anywhere. Isn’t it great to be a blogger?

Google Talk Comes To Facebook

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

Google talk ScreenshotThanks to Rong Ou of Silicon Valley you can now use your Gchat from the comfort of your Facebook profile. Want to narrow down the amount of applications running on your desktop? Now you can remove one by adding the new Google Chat Application. While there are many other chat applications in the works, this one seems to work smoothly when it’s not being overloaded by traffic. Previous chat applications I have avoided writing about due to errors that were taking place. This one seems to work! The only addition that is left is adding Gmail to your Facebook page. Once that takes place, you will be able to spend all day on Facebook! So go grab the Google Chat application now! There’s no reason not to try it out (unless of course you don’t use Google).

Get A Date on Facebook

Thursday, June 7th, 2007

IAmFreeTonight.comIAmFreeTonight.com has released an application for Facebook that matches you up with dates and wingmen. It is a pretty slick application but currently only has a few people on it. There are definitely some downfalls to the application such as the fact that it reveals your full name and location to anyone using the application. A good upgrade would allow users to display their profiles anonymously. I have seen another application that allows you to prevent your name from showing on your profile, but it would be great if it gave a profile synopsis and possibly pictures without access to your name. Additionally, it would be great to have a feature that prevents your friends from seeing that you are using the application. Ultimately this would create an anonymous dating platform. This is definitely a great start though. So if you are looking for a date tonight and are lucky enough to live near one of the active members, go grab the “Hang Out With Me” application.

The New AllFacebook Group

Monday, June 4th, 2007

AllFacebook Logo Given that this is a blog dedicated to everything related to Facebook, I thought that it would be only natural to launch a group on Facebook. In all honesty, I’m not quite sure what the benefit of creating a Facebook group for a blog is, but maybe it will prove useful. I’m considering this an educational exercise. For the time being this is the extent of our Facebook presence, but more is in the works. In the next week or so, I will be launching a AllFacebook application that enables users to post anything related to their thoughts on Facebook and what they use Facebook for. When you post a response, a link will be displayed on this blog to any website of your choice with your name and the text that you wrote. For now though, joining the Facebook group will have to suffice. So go join the AllFacebook group and show your support. Thanks!
