ALERT: World’s Worst McDonalds Customer App Is A Scam

-Error Icon-This morning a new application began spreading rapidly around Facebook, claiming to provide access to a shocking video of the “world’s worst McDonalds customer”. The application, as you may have guessed, is not a legitimate application and is instead a self-promoting application which is spreading quickly around the site. The application’s spread has only increased in recent hours. The bottom line: don’t install it.

As Graham Cluley pointed out earlier, the application is simply prompting users to grant the application with the ability to automatically post to their walls. The result is that the following message is displayed in their status:

OMG the worlds worst mcdonalds customer (shocking video must see)

Fortunately for Facebook, who has yet to shut down the application, bit.ly is actively alerting users when they click on the link that the link may be a security threat. Despite the warning, many users are continuing through as you can see below. Word to the wise: don’t install the application!

  1. I think it's time for bit.ly to bit.le dust. Who is the idiot behind this BS link? I don't click on any link unless I can see it's full URL, and even then I have ad blocks on and don't surf while logged in to FB or install any of their stupid bogus apps.
