After trying to stay under the radar for the past few months, CrowdStar, the company behind the fourth largest game on the Facebook platform, Happy Aquarium, is launching their fourth game: Happy Pets. The application first debuted last Thursday and already has over one million monthly active users, approximately the size of the company’s other two games: Know-It-All Trivia and Restaurant Life. The company has great ambitions, with a goal of taking on Zynga.
While you would expect Happy Pets to be similar to Playfish’s largest game, Pet Society, it’s not. Instead, the goal is to adopt as many cats and dogs as you can and to take care of them. While you can purchase furniture for your house, just as you can in Pet Society, there are no activities to participate in outside of your house. The game is well developed though and has grown quickly in the past week. While none of the company’s new games have grown to be as large as Happy Aquarium, CrowdStar is investing significant development resources.
According to the company’s Executive Chairman, Peter Relan, the CrowdStar believes they have a unique business model. Relan says that CrowdStar recognizes “that the entire value chain, including the way you actually build, deliver and manage games has also changed, and traditional development models aren’t optimal for this new market. We believe we are building the most efficient, agile and profitable business model in the industry.”
While the company isn’t saying how much money they’re making, with one of the top games on Facebook based on both monthly and daily active users, it’s in the millions. We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes on the CrowdStar team over the coming months as they establish themselves as a leading social gaming company.
They have no toys except a laser for cats and I see no point for cats for you play with laser, maybe feather, I don’t believe cats would actually sleep on ground. I seen cats sleep on rugs or something that get their fancy. But they have no scratching posts or something that makes the kitties naughty. Like destroyed furniture? Or pee on the floor? I seen cats do that? Why add dogs why not goats?
I would like to see more animals like birds or hamsters, Even though CATS ARE AWESOME!!! Just like in “Happy Aquaruim”, we need cheaper food prices and the animals should get sick every once in a while or bring them to play in other’s houses in a cage. More furniture like cat beds and upgradable food bowls and litter boxes would be nice. Once again, like “happy aquarium” we should be able to use any of the floors with a certain amount of levels up or friends and not pay for them.
I like Happy pets too! I think that there should be more toys and I also think that you should be able to breed. Can you breed? Anyway, Happy aquarium is good I like it!

yea, agree. would like to see more animals (cant wait for the dogs), hopefully can let the animals breed with friends pets, then can get rare species then good(:

i would love to see hampsters or guinea pigs or ferrets. that would be really awesome. cant wait for the dogs to come out. The adult cat’s tails bother me tho because they are scrunchy and i would love to see cute accessories like collars we could put on the animals. id buy them. Love the game and im always on it just as Happy Aquarium. Only cute facebook games out there. Keep up the good work boys!
Need to be able to breed animals. Would make game much more fun. Dogs, hamsters, fish, ferrets, birds, rabbits, and more house pets would be fun too. Thank you(:
I agree.It needs more house pets,they need to breed,and one more thing.Animals get fleas!!!!They need a brush and Happy Pets should be more fun.
I like that you can get chance animals like in “Happy Aquarium”.You can get Blue Leopards and (new) orange tiger cats! I just got one, and gave two to my brother, (and a blue leopard too) Dane (who’s actually me, but I didn’t want anyone else to have them).
i dont even like admitting how much i like this game. i just found the kittens cute…
biggest complaint–why can you only have 5 kittens at once!? we should at least be able to expand the room or something like you can in happy aquarium so we can buy more without having to sell the others.

hey how do you get the hamsters i saw one of my friends have one. i know how to get the parrot but not the hamsters. i can wait for the dogs to come out.

The dogs have actually come out! I’ve already bought four. You can breed cats, and I’m sure they will make it available on dogs too. Better buy them now before they start making them pricy and locked until a certain level. Dog food bowls are a dollar. They are so cute!
yay you can breed now! you click a male, click the breed button then select an adult female, but i think it only works with cats of the same colour
but i have 2 rare animals! blue leopard and hamster! cant wait for rare tiger stripe cat, my cousin has one that i found

you should be able to buy the hamster no one is able to find it , or at least they should be easier to find…no one is able to publish it >.<’
Hope that there will be a Save Button like in Pet Society, Country Story etc…

Yea you can breed,and dogs came to happy pets too ! you can breed dogs and cat’s.There are new kitty’s too.there are many kitty’s whit spot’s,stripes waiting to be adopted by you :))
I am glad you bring dogs in the picture.I have a hamster,a dog and three cats in this game!You should bring some animals that like to live outdoors but live indoors like raccoons!
I love Happy Pets so much! But I would really like it if people could go and play with other peoples cats. Also when are the Blue Leopard Cats gonna come back on for chance? I meen, I like them but 82 dollars? I’m willing to buy credit stuff for them but 82 dollars for a cat just isn’t gonna be possible for a while.

What is going on with “Third Party Issue”? That doesn’t sound good. It doesn’t sound like a technical problem and that troubles me. Do not close Happy Pets down! I hope you can expedite resolvinge this issue. I have 2 “expecting” pets and miss this website very much!

I love this game! I seen were someone is having trouble breeding i did at first.The trick is make sure they not hungry,you have to select a male first and then select breed then pick female and hit breed button it will work 9 out of 10 times! I have breed my pets several times with great success. Thank you!

Please resolve this issue, or at LEAST let us know our pets are safe!
PS: I can not play Happy Aquarium with FireFox, so when I try to use the in room link (clicking the aquarium), the page never loads. I have to get on IE to feed fish. Makes no sence. I can’t play most of your games with IE I have to use FireFox.

Mys cats,bird,hamster,dog,fish,and(after thit came back online,since evryone got a free one!:))rabbit!. ey,and thaks so much for the 1000 free coins, oh and the free rabit, oh and that rabbits are now also on chance. Happy pets are the cools pets ever.

why is the game so slow?? There’s a 15 second delay between each action. It takes about half hour to clean, feed and pet a room of 4 animals. It’s annoying as heck. I love my pets, but the delay drives me nuts…..
