11 Comments »This afternoon it appears as though Facebook has gone completely down. We are waiting to here when the site will be back up but it has been down for at least 10 minutes and the site isn’t resolving at all. We’ll keep you updated.
Update
The site is back up. It appears to have been a local name resolution issue for a few people on the east coast. I’m not sure what the issue was but it has been resolved. Back to facebooking!
Yeah, definitely hit for a few people on the East Coast. Few friends in NY and one down in Georgia, couldn’t connect.

We are in Houston, Texas and FaceBook as of right now is still down.
I’ve been noticing lots of glitch in Facebook too, this afternoon U.S. local time. Could those glitches be related?
I’m in the Eastern Hemisphere (in Finland).
Got problem too here in Montreal. Got a feedback from Paris that FB went down as well at the same time. Seems to me that glitch was not located solely in Northeastern America… But it back to normal now.
FB was down at least 2 hours here in Serbia, southeast Europe
Hit the UK also, was down when I got home (17:00 GMT) but is back as I speak (21:00 GMT)
Was down from the UK, yesterday too, then back up. Is down again, and has been down for at least the last 3 hours.
It is Dec 21st today. The site has been down for 2 days straight now. I don’t know if anyone else is having a problem accessing it. If not, do you know of an email address for the admins of Facebook so I could contact them? I appreciate any help I get friends. Thanks.
Hi! Facebook has been down since yesterday. When I try to access my account, it says: account temporarily unavailable. I’m in the Philippines.
I do not know my pass word and you cannot get me by email so how do I recover my pass word or can you reset my emai to a number that you can send me by a friend.
If you do not or cannot get me anothe pass word so I can accept friends then please put my name and email on a cannot use basis
It is rediculus that you do not have any one who can by phone re set our pass word
