		<description>I wouldn't say this is a "launch", as www.beta.facebook.com has existed for at least several months now.  I can't, however, say how often updates are staged to the beta sub-domain for app developers prior to pushes.  Perhaps Facebook is trying to offer more time for developers to ensure everything will transition smoothly, which is certainly a good thing.</description>
