Stanford Facebook Class Produces Impressive Results

Professor BJ Fogg and Dave McClure have produced results nothing short of spectacular from their Stanford Facebook class. Honestly, anybody that plans on building a business on the Facebook platform would have benefited greatly from being a student in this class. According to BJ Fogg and Dave McClure, this class has produced:

  • Over 10 million Facebook users installed Stanford student apps
  • Over 1 million daily active users on the apps
  • 5 student apps that rank among Facebook’s Top 100 (competing with 9000 other apps)

This is an amazing performance. If you could teach a class on building “Web 2.0 sites” and produce the same type of results, you could charge any price for the class. While I have not been privvy to the findings of the class, any of you that are in the valley can hear about their findings at the Ten Million in Ten Weeks event. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the viral opportunities on Facebook and about what works for applications and what doesn’t. I’m hoping that Dave McClure will allow me to publish those findings on here after they host the event. How about it Dave?
