Not Just Messages, But Wall Posts Receive Email Love
Posted by Dave Ambrose on December 6th, 2007 3:08 PMMessages weren’t the only goodies to receive an update from Facebook late last night. In addition to having messages appear within your email inbox, the Facebook team has added the same functionality to wall posts from friends. See below for an example.

I find this WAY more useful than the initial message-email visibility since I receive more “XXX posted on your wall…” emails than “XXX sent you a message.” This is a great improvement to the bread and butter feature within the site. The wall is a wonderful way to find and receive information either indirectly or directly about your closest and distant friends (especially when the information is pushed out to the news feed). Overall, I wouldn’t say I’m as giddy as Mike Arrington…but I’m pretty grateful for an early Christmas present from Mr. Zuckerberg.

This IS great. If I'm giddy, it's just because it's getting late. But I had noticed this on my Blackberry today, and wondered whether it was a global change. This makes FB messaging MUCH more useful.
