2 Comments »Yesterday I posted about Joyent’s free hosting solution for Facebook applications. Today, Facebook announced that they have partnered with Joyent on this new offering. According to their announcement:
The price is free for one year. After that, Joyent asks that you move to one of their standard pricing plans for $45/month. You can cancel at anytime, and there are no contracts. If your application is awesome, and you need to scale more quickly, Joyent will work with you to move to a rate plan that can handle your scale.
If you would like to register for the free hosting service you can sign up now! The new hosting solution is enabled to run PHP or Ruby on Rails and comes running with memecache to make your applications faster. I’ll definitely be recommending this solution for my clients given Joyent’s great track record.
