Mari,

If only that were true. I've 'unchecked' many things like this and yet I still get daily requests for things I have no interest in and can't seem to turn them off.

Thanks for the greasemonkey script Ali, I'll be giving that a try!

There IS a way to turn off app requests... go to the notifications page (click on the down arrow next to "Inbox" & select "Notifications"), then check/uncheck the apps you want/don't want notices from. Easy as pie! ;)

Cheers,
Mari

Wow, I had created something that would do this a couple weeks ago, but I never knew anyone would want this. You guys can use this until facebook does something to do this permanently.

You need FIREFOX and GREASEMONKEY. Then just click the following link: http://karbassi.com/scripts/greasemonkey/minimumdisplayfacebookapprequest10.user.js

Here is what it will look like when it's installed and running: <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrwoot/1471116622/" title="Photo Sharing" rel="nofollow"></a>

Easy as that. Email me if you have comments/suggestions.

If there is anything that will make me give up entirely on Facebook it is application spam. They definitely need a feature allowing you to block all such requests.
