9 Comments »On the way to a meeting this morning I realized that there is no effective content management system for Facebook. While there isn’t exactly a simple way of porting over an application like Drupal, an easy to use CMS for Facebook would be extremely useful. After speaking with a number of individuals I have realized that community building, just like it was on the open net, is an extremely valuable activity on Facebook.
As such, whoever is successful at porting over any of the existing content management systems is going to be extremely successful. I have a feeling that this is going to take some significant time though given that developer resources are best invested elsewhere currently. Have any of you heard about attempts to port a content management system into Facebook?
I don’t really get what you are trying to point out here. It is quite easy to integrate any of popular CMS into Facebook canvas page. It would be good if you could elaborate more.

It’s not easy to integrate drupal into Facebook … swap out the users for Facebook users and provide people with an easy way to create custom communities on Facebook. If you can do it I’ll help you promote it!

The new version of Joomla RC2 has a real simple pluggable authentication setup. The “authenticate against google” code is about 10 lines of PHP. It should be pretty easy to make it talk to Facebook…
