Nick - do many of your friends use either of these tracking apps and, if so, how do you feel about it? I've seen a total of two people using Tracksor in my network, and although I'm more than happy to use Google Analytics on my blog, using a Facebook application which tells me exactly who, what, and when, just seems a little bit on the creepy side. I'll admit that one side of me wants to use this app from a wannabe Web professional standpoint, but the other side knows how strange my friends would think I am.

How do all the other AllFacebook readers feel about tracking apps?

I believe this should be made illegal to use within Facebook because of privacy issues. Surely, I wouldn't want other people to know that I visited their profile.

There is no way to tell exactly WHO has visited your profile without his or her explicit consent.

We respect our users' privacy and adhere strictly to Facebook's policy.

As such, we will not track anyone without his or her explicit consent. In order to find out who has visited your profile, you must satisfy two conditions.

Firstly, visitors to your profile can only be tracked if they have added this application and disabled “Hide Name From Other Track Bots” (default is on) in the privacy settings page. Secondly, you must also disable “Hide Name From Other Track Bots” in your own privacy setting.

In short, if you want to see who has visited your profile, you must allow others to see your visits, plus, they must give you consent to see theirs.

“The coolest aspect of this application is that all visits to your profile page are successfully tracked..” I think u should say also that both people (users and visitor) MUST have installed this app, it could misleading this phrase! (yep, it worked for me!;)
