Want to talk about explosive growth? Facebook has grown from 24 million users 7 weeks ago to over 30 million users as of this morning. That is pretty darn impressive. While Facebook applications are also experiencing tremendous growth, Facebook is doing a pretty good job themselves. Also of interest is that they grew practically 25 percent for the 7 weeks prior to them reaching the 24 million mark. All in all this is phenomenal growth. They are slowly approaching their peak rate of growth, but they still have plenty of room to grow. It’s starting to look like a good time for an exit strategy. As I mentioned yesterday, I’d be betting on a public offering in about one year if they don’t find a proper suitor quickly. The next 12 months will truly be important months for Facebook.
