Some of you might already know that I attend a fair number of conferences and events for the opportunity to network with people. Suddenly I have found the best place to network: Facebook. In the past couple of days I have met a bunch of industry professionals throughout the country that have all requested me as a friend. By placing calls to help on a couple of Facebook groups, I have found out about another local event, spoken to a few people in San Francisco and have added some readers to my blog. I hadn’t been embracing Facebook for marketing and networking purpose as much as I could and that will now change. I would have thought that most of my networking would have taken place on LinkedIn given that it is the professional network but alas, that is not the case. While I will continue to use LinkedIn for the next couple months I can quickly see myself slowly drifting away from LinkedIn unless they add a clever Facebook application and rapidly open up their platform. If you want to use Facebook as a networking platform, go add me as a friend. The only request that I have is that you send me a message telling me how you heard about AllFacebook so that we can get some dialogue going. If we are going to network, we should probably know a little about each other. So get in touch and let the networking begin!
