1,2,3,4 I Declare a Poke War

Poke Wars LogoI absolutely hate writing about games on this blog because there are so many of them in the application directory! I stumbled upon this one today though and I have to admit that it’s pretty catchy. Poke Wars allows you to challenge your friends to a poke war. How does a poke war take place? Well the goal is to respond to pokes as quick as possible. Each player starts with 36 hours on their poke timer. Once you are poked the timer starts counting down. As soon as you return the poke, the timer stops. Pretty simple. If your timer is the first to run out of time, you lose. While this game is extremely simple, I think it is a pretty cool concept. So if you think you are quick about replying to pokes, go grab the Poke Wars application. If you want, feel free to challenge me to a war. You will surely lose!

What happens when people start poking each other right after the other person goes to sleep?

i challenged nick to a poke war, and he won (by under two hours)… congrats! :)
i have to admit this was stressful. and that i don’t really see the point of it (and no, i’m not bitter because i lost).
this only works if both participants are online a lot and constantly checking facebook. if one isn’t, then the game is over pretty quickly.
and what does winning the poke war mean anyway?
